National debt of Czech Republic

The dissertation analyzes national debt of Czech Republic between the years 1996 to 2015 as well as comparing it to other member states of European Union with a brief suggestion of how to lower the debt. Results are based on documents from Ministry of Finance of Czech Republic.
Analysis of development of the public debt of the Czech republic from 1993 until present with a special emphasis on the national debt

The objective of this bachelor's thesis is to measure effectiveness of European and national fiscal rules together with compliance evaluation on the basis of debt indicators analysis. It also provides feasibility study on governmental constitutional amendment on fiscal responsibility and related laws. The theory section of the thesis consists of 3 chapters. The first one concerns public finance in general with emphasis on a state budget theory. The second chapter consists of debt financing. It defines debt indicators such as state budget deficit, government deficit or national and government debt which are further analyzed in the practical part. The last chapter of this section focuses on fiscal policy and related fiscal rules. Practical part contains two larger chapters. The first one analyzes the before mentioned debt indicators that are tested in 5 year intervals. Performed examination and boosted interpretation points out an observable negative development of debt indicators and its main causes. The second chapter deals both with fiscal rules that are valid in the Czech Republic and those that might be valid in the future in terms of Constitutional law on fiscal responsibility. Considerably the European fiscal rules, the Maastricht Criteria and the Stability and Growth Pact, as well as national rules are taken into account and evaluated according to its influence on the debt indicators. In conclusion, it is measured the effectiveness of the fiscal rules, it was confirmed that the current regulation provides a positive influence on the debt indicators development and demonstrated the necessity of setting additional fiscal rules.
National debt of the Czech republic- cause, impacts, solutions

Diploma thesis called "Czech national debt -- cause, impacts, solutions" deals with deficient budgeting of the Czech republic which presents a current problem afterwards projecting itself into the creation of an actual debt. This thesis aims to anter the question concerning an achievement of balanced budgets and therefore generating no indebtness. Afterwards it deals with its cause and considers possible solutions seeking to reduce the amount of national debt. Therefore this diploma thesis is divided into four chapters. The first one defines the basic terms, which constitute theoretical way-outs of this thesis. The second chapter deals with the debt analysis in years of 1993 to 2013, its absolute and relative numeral expression, its structure and interest costs, which are directly related to this phenomenon. The third chapter subsequently describes the debt problem regarding the european setting and at the same time it shows the czech national debt in the european context. At the end of this diploma thesis, the possible scenarios are described as a solving of this unfavourable situation.

Analysis of the VAT Revenue in the Czech Republic from 1993 to 2011

The main goal of the thesis is to analyze the progress of VAT revenue in the Czech Republic during the period 1993 -- 2011 in comparison with the growth rate of GDP, with the progress of national debt and with the level of arrears of VAT. Currently most of countries run economic recession which causes governments have to apply some interventions to protect other decline of economy. One of them was applied also in the Czech Republic in the form of increasing of both VAT rates. The basic VAT rate increased to 20 % and the reduced one to 14 %. Nowadays both professional and public discussion about suitability of another VAT increasing is conducted. The theoretical part will include main characteristics of tax system in the Czech Republic (especially value added tax), fiscal policy, GDP and state budget. In the introductory section of the practical part will be analyzed the legal framework development (concerning VAT) in the given period. In the main section the VAT revenue will be analyzed in the period 1993 -- 2011. The correlation between tax revenue and the growth of the real GDP, the level of national debt and the level of arrears of VAT will be also the subject of investigation. The final section of the practical part will analyze interrelations between all researched indexes during whole period 1993 -- 2011.
Analysis of mandatory spending - debt service of the state

The thesis titled "Analysis of mandatory spending - debt service of the state" is essentially one of a series dealing with mandatory spending of the state, and that the cost of government debt. Individual chapters of the thesis deal in turn with the characteristics of the obligatory expenditures and factors that affect it. The penultimate chapter focuses on the specific quantification of these expenses in the period. The final chapter shows the evaluation of the state debt of the Czech Republic and the expenditure for the management of state debt. Level of expenditure on debt servicing in terms of gross domestic product, compared with western countries are significantly lower and not yet for the treasury risk factor. However, the absolute amount of the national debt over the last 6 years has doubled and the growth rate can be considered very disturbing.

This diploma thesis is supposed to bring an overall summary of knowledge regarding State treasury in the Czech Republic. It is meant to be a tool which will help both academics and specialists get sufficient information on this project whose purpose is to raise efficiency of public funds in the Czech Republic. Besides bringing the topic of State treasury in the Czech Republic into context with the situation in surrounding countries in the European Union brings this diploma thesis also the economic and investment point of view. It offers some arguments of the critics, too, because author of this diploma thesis is convinced that projects of such a huge range and influence have to be widely discussed amongst both political parties and academics or skilled experts from the public.

Vývoj veřejných deficitů a státní dluh v ČR

V první kapitole této práce je vymezena teorie veřejných deficitů a státního dluhu, součástí jsou i subkapitoly o vývoji těchto makroekonomických ukazatelů v České republice. Druhá kapitola se zabývá daňovou problematikou, jsou zde charakterizovány nejdůležitější daně vybírané v České republice. Třetí kapitola je věnována státnímu rozpočtu roku 2009, kde je popisován zhoršující se vývoj veřejných financí na základě působení celosvětové ekonomické krize a dále reakce vlády na tuto negativní situaci. Čtvrtá kapitola je zaměřena na státní rozpočet České republiky v roce 2010 a jeho výdajový rámec, tzv. "Janotův balíček". Závěrečná kapitola se zabývá dvěma vládními dokumenty, Konvergenčním programem a "Exit strategy", ve kterých jsou zachyceny návrhy řešení problému zadluženosti českých veřejných financí v letech 2011 a 2012.
The Reforms of R. Reagan - the Transformation of Institutions Analysis

The purpose of this bachelor's thesis is to profile the character of the fortieth American president R. W. Reagan and his reforms. First it is necessary to describe the situation (economic and political) before his first mandate in the White House. In the theoretical part of this thesis I will explain the mainstream economic school in the USA during 1970's (Keynesian economics) and trends which Reagan used to lead the USA out of depression -- e.g. monetarism, supply-side economics and the school of rational expectations. The practical part focuses on his reforms (tax reforms and deregulation) and the fight against lobby (air traffic controllers). In conclusion of this bachelor's thesis I will mention the consequences of his reforms and their acceptance by the US Citizens.
